Framework of the woman who alleged that the Mona Lisa, was found buried in the Convent of Santa Ursula, this week.
At the beginning of the excavation that began in the last year, archaeologists found an underground chamber that they believe to be the final resting place of Lisa.
Soon after they had found a human skull-sized woman. The skull was found five feet below the floor of the monastery along with other fragments of the human rib cage and spine.
Excavation process had been halted temporarily, when the team ran out of funds. They started again after a win funding in the last month.

The bones were planned to be tested to determine the suitability of a skull found last year.
The scientists then will compare the DNA in the bones, the skeletons of two children who were found buried nearby.
After they finished verifying a skeleton and skull, the artists will try to reconstruct his face to see if there are similarities with the face of the Mona Lisa.
"We do not know whether the bones belonged to one person or more than one person," said chief archaeologist Tim Ursula Convent, Silvano Vinceti, as quoted from Dailymail, Wednesday (07/18/2012).
